A natural microbiota-based mouse model with increased translational research value for immune diseases

This BioProject describes the bacterial, fungal and viral microbiome of gut, skin and vagina from wild mice, conventional C57BL/6 from Taconic Biosciences and Jackson Laboratories and a colony of Wildlings (C57BL/6 with wild mouse microbiome). Stability and resilience of the gut bacterial microbiome of Wildlings was compared to that of conventional C57BL/6 (co-housing, antibiotic and high fat diet experiments).
