Parliamentary questions are inquiries raised by Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to other EU institutions and bodies. They serve as a direct form of parliamentary oversight over these EU entities. Written declarations are texts of no more than 200 words, dedicated exclusively to EU-wide issues. However, they do not bind the European Parliament: that is, they cannot be regarded as parliamentary acts representing the Parliament's position, but only as acts of their authors and signatories. This is a European Parliament dataset hosted on the EU Open Data Portal.
