This is a monitoring project that will be conducted over the long-term to determine seasonal changes in diversity and abundance of arthropods. As arthropods are both food for shorebirds and good indicators of environmental changes, measuring their biodiversity and relative abundance (biomass and numbers) will provide a foundation from which to launch future studies.
