资源简介:
Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) are a core component considered in sixth generation (6G) communications.ByutilizinganRISprototypesysteminthe5GHzband,thispaperprovidesacomprehensivedatasetofs21channelmeasurements of various geometric arrangements of antennasand RIS. The dataset is provided on IEEE DataPort. Additionally, the in-detail documentation of the measurement setup, location, devices, geometries, and algorithms is available on GitHub. Sinceonly a few datasets with measurements of RIS prototypes arecurrently available, we try to fill an important gap in currentresearch by providing this systematically measured dataset. Moreprecisely, the dataset considers different communication objec-tives with changing geometries, which provides the possibility ofreproducible research and the validation of concepts and models.Due to the consistent quality of the measurements that is ensuredby the measurement chamber, the provided dataset is also wellsuited to be used as a basis for machine learning concepts.Inordertoprovideasolidbaselineforcomparingandvalidating a wide range of applications in different scenarios, the dataset includes measurements taken in stationary scenarios. This includes different RIS-to-antenna distances with specularreflection angles, non-specular reflection angles and with the RISplaced on a rotary stage. The selected switching states of the RISfor each scenario are determined by multiple approaches. Moreprecisely, two iterative algorithms, namely a greedy algorithmand a single-element optimization approach and multiple model-based approaches, which are based on the knowledge of the exactgeometry of the setup. Regarding the optimized switching states, the goal of maximizing the received power and minimizing thereceived power are pursued. The evaluation of the data in thispaper compares the overall performance for the maximizationand minimization of an RIS-assisted communication link, whichshows an increase in received power of up to 20 dB comparedto a reference plat
