Data: Heterogeneous plasticity of amygdala interneurons in associative learning and extinction

This dataset contains the raw data from 19 mice pertaining to the publication by Favila, N., Capece Marsico, J. et al. (2025), "Heterogeneous plasticity of amygdala interneurons in associative learning and extinction". The data presented here corresponds to the raw calcium traces obtained using a 1-photon miniature microscope during a discriminative auditory fear conditioning paradigm recorded at 20 Hz. Behavioural videos were recorded at 40 Hz. The recordings were performed in the basolateral amygdala using calcium sensor AAV-flex-GCaMP6 injected in GAD2-Cre mice (n = 9), VIP-Cre (n = 6) or SST-Cre mice (n = 4). The raw calcium traces and cell maps were obtained using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Independent Component Analysis (ICA) with the CIAtah package in MATLAB v2021.
