Conductivity, Temperature, Pressure (CTD) measurements from cast data taken in the Eurasian and Makarov basins, Arctic Ocean, 2021.

This archive includes NABOS (Nansen and Amundsen Basins Observational System) 2021 summer CTD (conductivity, temperature, and pressure) survey data collected in the eastern Eurasian Basin and Laptev/East Siberian Sea. The main goal of NABOS is to enhance our understanding of the role of stratification in controlling transports of the Atlantic Water heat and other properties to the upper ocean and ice. The 2021 NABOS cruise was aimed at better understanding the role of fresh waters in regulating vertical mixing and transports of heat from the ocean interior towards sea ice in the Eurasian and Makarov basins and northern Laptev and East Siberian seas. Each file in this data set contains individual CTD cast and includes pressure, temperature, salinity and other parameters measured by auxiliary sensors of the SBE 9plus CTD Unit.
