Spatial microenvironmental profiling datasets of multiple lung cancers

Multiple lung cancers (MLC) are increasingly diagnosed with CT screening. Despite abundant investigation into single lung cancer biology, the tumor microenvironment (TME) of MLC remains largely uncharacterized. We prospectively analyzed 80 patients with MLC from two independent cohorts. For the PKUPH cohort (n=45), imaging mass cytometry (IMC) was performed in 45 patients across tumor cores, margins, and adjacent tissues (in total 270 regions of interest [ROIs]), while spatial transcriptomics at 16-μm resolution (10x Visium HD) was further performed for eight selected lesions from those undergoing IMC. For external validation of TME findings, 35 patients were subjected to bulk RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) in the SHJURJ cohort.
