资源简介:
In situ cores created using unoiled Pensacola Beach sand and Pensacola Beach sand with the addition of weathered crude oil (GRIIDC dataset R5.x278.000:0010) were incubated in the laboratory. A trough with dimensions 90 x 50 x 40 cm and a computer-controlled pump worked as a tide simulator to mimic Pensacola Beach conditions. Oxygen and carbon dioxide were measured every 15 minutes using a LICOR LI-804A CO2 gas analyzer and Hach rigid 02 optodes. This dataset contains laboratory measurements of oxygen and carbon dioxide and supports the publication: Huettel, M., Overholt, W.A., Kostka, J.E., Hagan, C., Kaba, J., Wells, W.B., & Dudley, S. (2018). Degradation of Deepwater Horizon oil buried in a Florida beach influenced by tidal pumping. Marine Pollution Bulletin, 126, 488-500. doi: 10.1016/j.marpolbul.2017.10.061
