Data supporting "A duty-dependent film-to-friction exchange criterion for viscosity-mediated lubricant selection in mass-conserving journal bearings"
收藏资源简介:
This data-only release contains experimental rheology data, processed property tables, fixed-geometry and generalized journal-bearing results, evidence-screened decision-analysis outputs, film-to-friction exchange-elasticity evidence, representative pressure and fill-field arrays, numerical-verification records, and a classical analytical pressure/load comparison supporting the associated study. Version 1.1.1 is a documentation and machine-readable status correction to Version 1.1.0. It replaces 22 instances of the status label CROSSED_ROBUSTLY_REFINED with CROSSED_PRIMARY_GRID_SELECTED_STATE_CHECK_ONLY. This correction clarifies that the reported crossover brackets and preferred centers are primary-grid quantities, while one preselected refined-grid state per crossed slice provides only a state-level scalar/field sensitivity check. It does not constitute a reconstructed refined-grid bracket or evidence of refined-grid crossover-center convergence. No numerical values, scientific rows, columns, processed data files, primary-grid brackets, preferred crossover centers, benchmark results, formulation rankings, or scientific conclusions have changed. The numerical scientific content of Version 1.1.0 is retained. Version 1.1.0 extended Version 1.0.0 by adding the Ocvirk short-bearing benchmark data, the representative field arrays used for the final field figure, the registered withheld-scalar tolerance table, and an updated manuscript figure-to-data map. The scientific data from Version 1.0.0 were retained. The deposited material includes sanitized source rheology workbooks, cleaned measurement records, row-level traceability, controlled viscosity and property tables, fixed-geometry numerical evidence, uncertainty-aware decision-analysis data, direct aspect-ratio and prescribed inlet-fill results, selected-state refined-grid audit data, the separate terminal narrow-bearing refined-grid audit, benchmark-comparison tables, representative pressure, fill, and continuity-residual fields, and supporting documentation. The bearing calculations assume smooth surfaces, isothermal and isoviscous operation, Newtonian lubricant behaviour, rigid surfaces, and viscosity-mediated formulation effects. Prescribed inlet fill is a computational boundary coordinate rather than a measured feed-capacity variable. Experimental rheology was measured up to 1200 s⁻¹. The dataset does not establish independent preparation-level repeatability, experimental bearing validation, or bearing-scale high-shear validation. The numerical model does not include thermal coupling, pressure-viscosity effects, shear thinning, surface roughness, mixed lubrication, wear, particle transport, or nanoparticle mechanisms independent of viscosity. This is a data-only release. Computational source code, manuscript files, and publication figures are not included. Reasonable code requests may be directed to the corresponding author.
