Spatial microbial heterogeneity in the biogeography of gastric cancer: oral-associated gastric microbiota and Helicobacter pylori network for prognosis

The gastric microbial community plays a fundamental role in gastric cancer (GC). However, the spatial heterogeneity of the microbial diversity of GC has largely remained unclear. Here, we performed a multicentre retrospective analysis to characterize the gastric microbiota in 223 GC patients with tumours and paired adjacent normal tissues using third-generation sequencing.
