资源简介:
The Italian national health care underwent a huge challenge when the country was the first in Europe to be severely hit by COVID-19. A survey conducted in June 2020 attempted to find out what the opinions of Italian citizens were concerning the way the national health care faced the challenge and the structural issues it shed light on. 22 percent of men and 21 percent of women believed the national health care system stood up to the challenge, but there were still 14 percent of men and 12 percent of women who believed it did not.Female respondents seemed to be more convinced with respect to the introduction of additional resources for the public system. 56 percent of them reported the need for more personnel and 53 percent maintained the necessity to direct more funds to this sector. On the other hand, men (34 percent) highlighted more strongly the need for modernization of the health care system compared to women (23 percent).
