The “LULC Samples and Spatiotemporal Classification Datasets from Typical Regions of Different Natural Zones” integrates 14 LULC classification sub-datasets produced by the Multi-government International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Key Project of National Key Research and Development Program of China for the“Environmental monitoring and assessment of land use/land cover change impact on ecological security using geospatial technologies”. It includes: (1) July 2021 land cover sample dataset for central Yunnan (first edition); (2) 2020 Yunnan Province land cover sample dataset (first edition); (3) 2000-2020 Central Yunnan 500-meter LULC classification dataset (first edition); (4) 1980-2020 Central Yunnan 30-meter LULC classification dataset (first edition); (5) 2016-2020 Central Yunnan 10-meter LULC classification dataset (first edition); (6) 2000-2035 Central Yunnan (7) 1990-2020 Yunnan Province 30m LULC Classification Dataset (First Edition); (8) 2020 Yunnan Province Spot Scale LULC Classification Dataset (First Edition); (9) 2020 Fuzhou City Land Category Sample Dataset (First Edition); (10) 1980-2020 Fuzhou City 30m LULC Classification Dataset (First Edition); (11) 2020 South Africa KwaZulu-Natal Province and Mpumalanga Province Land Category Sample Dataset (First Edition); (12) 1980-2020 South Africa KwaZulu-Natal Province and Mpumalanga Province 30m LULC Classification Dataset (First Edition); (13) 2020 Russia Mariel Republic Land Category Sample Dataset (First Edition); (14) 1980-2020 Russia Mariel Republic 30m LULC Classification Dataset (First Edition). The above subsets form a multi-scale, long-term spatiotemporal dataset of LULC samples and classifications, covering typical regions of different natural zones in China, South Africa, and the Mariel Republic of Russia. The LULC samples are vector data collected in the field and precisely interpreted indoors. The classification dataset includes 30-meter, 10-meter, 500-meter, and speckle-scale classification raster products, spanning from 1980 to 2035. This data can support cross-regional LUCC comparative studies, revealing land use evolution patterns in different natural zones, and providing fundamental data support for fields such as global change and regional sustainable development.
