Transit-Oriented Communities Initiative: Harnessing Data & Web Technologies
收藏资源简介:
For this story map, the Data Services team focused on the foundational aspects of data management and analysis. They were responsible for building and maintaining the critical datasets that underpin the Transit-Oriented Communities (TOC) project, including detailed development of transit stops, transit stations, and associated land use databases. Their efforts were instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data through rigorous Quality Assurance/Quality Control processes, and they played a key role in transitioning to new data sources, like ReGrid parcels, to enhance dataset comprehensiveness. Collaborating with the Data Services team, the Web Application Services team concentrated on translating these complex datasets into a functional and user-friendly web application. They crafted the initial design and architecture of the application, ensuring it was both intuitive and robust. The team worked to embed complex functionalities like dynamic calculations and comprehensive visualizations that facilitate easier compliance monitoring and workflow enhancements. Their focus also extended to ensuring that the application met high standards of accessibility and integrated seamlessly with existing data management platforms.
