An overview about our knowledge of distribution, habitat preferences, biology and morphology of the spider genus Comaroma BERTKAU is presented. Additional new data on distribution and habitat preference of C. simonii are discussed. The walking legs of C. simonii show several sexually dimorphic characters, i.e. relative leg lengths, number of chemosensitive hairs, presence of presumably glandular pores on the metatarsi I of males. The male palp is re-described and an arresting mechanism between a tibial scale-like process and the cymbium is described. In the vulva, a pair of huge glands occurs which secrete via functionally separated ducts into the spermathecae.Key words: Araneae, Anapidae, Comaroma, morphology, genitalia, distribution, habitat.
