Supplementary data and files for "<b>Late Miocene climate change and orogenies jointly shaped the diversity patterns and evolution of the cycad genus </b><b><i>Dioon</i></b><b> L. (Zamiaceae)</b>"

The cycad genus<i> Dioon</i> (Zamiaceae) comprises 18 species mainly distributed in Mexico, a global biodiversity hotpot. However, conflicting hypotheses arise concerning <i>Dioon</i>’s evolutionary history, obscuring the roles of paleoecological and evolutionary drivers. In this project, we reconstructed the phylogeny and evolutionary history of 16 <i>Dioon</i> species using 2,586 genes and analyzed factors influencing their richness pattern and diversification.
