资源简介:
The Indonesia Social and Economic Survey (Susenas) is a nationwide survey conducted to collect information on social and economics indices. It serves as a main source of monitoring social and economic progress in society. Susenas has been conducted on an annual basis since 1963. Since 1992, in addition to a basic social and economic questionnaire (core), a more focused questionnaire was introduced (module). The core questionnaire covers basic information about household and individual characteristics including health, death, education/literacy, employment, fertility and family planning, housing, and household expenditure. This questionnaire is asked annually with only slight modifications over the years. Susenas 1999 core covered 205,747 households and was designed to be representative up to district/municipality levels. The module is intended to gather more detailed information on specific topics, especially on data that changed less frequently than yearly. There are several modules that are conducted in rotation i.e. consumption module and household income, household welfare, social culture, travel and crime, and the health, nutrition, education and housing modules. In 1999, in addition to three-year cycle of Consumption, Expenditure and Income Module, the module included a Social Safety Net Survey. The Social Safety Net Survey was designed to monitor the impact of the SSN Program that was introduced in 1998 to address the negative impacts of the economic crisis which occurred since 1997. The portion of this survey which assessed Social Economic Characteristics of Household and Household Members is available in this archived data. Some other module components are not available in this archived data (not available: Social Safety Net Survey - Midwife in the Village & Puskesmas; Household Iodized Salt Listing; and Prepared Food and Beverages Listings) In the archive, the 1999 data are stored in eight datasets. They are: Household Characteristics from core questionnaires (Study ID 01195) Individual Characteristics from core questionnaires (Study ID 01196) Household Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Consumption/Expenditure from module questionnaires (Study ID 01197) Household Non-Food Consumption/Expenditure from module questionnaires (Study ID 01198) Average of Household Expenditure from module questionnaires (Study ID 01199) Household income, Revenue, and Non-Consumption Expenditure from module questionnaires (Study ID 01200) Social Safety Net - Social Economic Characteristics of Household from module questionnaires (Study ID 01201) Social Safety Net - Social Economic Characteristics of Household Members from module questionnaires (Study ID 01202) This file (Study ID 01195) contains household data gathered from core questionnaires (Questionnaire VSEN99.K, Blocks I, VIII, IX and X in the manual). Variables include identification of place, household size, housing characteristics (including ownership status of the house and physical condition of the building), household expenditure (itemised), livestock and land area.
