Images and Report from a Trial Trench Evaluation at Kilnhurst Road, Rawmarsh, South Yorkshire, July 2023

This collection comprises images and a report from a trial trench evaluation on the land off Kilnhurst Road, Rawmarsh, South Yorkshire. This work was undertaken by Archaeological Services WYAS in July 2023. Field boundary ditches, plough furrows, and land drains identified during the works are the result of post-medieval agricultural activity. The trial trenching indicates that there is a low potential for archaeological remains to be found within the bounds of the proposed development area.
