Sphagnum-derived phenolic metabolites and their effects on methane-cycling microbes in wetlands

This dataset includes high-throughput sequencing data aimed at investigating the role of Sphagnum-derived phenolic metabolites in regulating methane-cycling microbial communities in wetland soils. The data consists of 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequences and associated environmental metadata from soil samples collected across different wetland sites. The primary objective of this project is to understand how Sphagnum moss influences methane emissions through interactions with soil microbial communities, particularly methanotrophs and methanogens.
