Simultaneous measurements of optical phase, angle-of-arrival, and intensity over a retroreflected optical link are provided for three different measurement trials. A Jupyter notebook used to analyse atmospheric turbulence conditions based on these measurements is also provided. A preprint for the accompanying paper may be found at: https://doi.org/10.1364/opticaopen.23735448 <br> The Jupyter notebook file 'turbulence_characterisation.ipynb' provides all code used for data analysis in the accompanying paper. <br> Three .h5 files are provided, each containing data corresponding to three different experimental measurements. Details of the experimental architecture and conditions for these three datasets may be found in the accompanying paper. - dataset_low.h5 - dataset_med.h5 - dataset_high.h5 Each file may be read using the 'pandas' python library. For example, pd.HDFStore('dataset_low.h5', 'r', complevel=1, complib='zlib') <br> Each file has the following hierarchical structure: - hdf [.h5 file] - hdf.phase - hdf.phase.t [measurement time in seconds] - hdf.phase.phase_rad [recorded optical phase in rad] - hdf.qpd - hdf.qpd.t [measurement time in seconds] - hdf.qpd.xdiff [x-axis difference voltage normalised to +-1] - hdf.qpd.ydiff [y-axis difference voltage normalised to +-1] - hdf.qpd.fpd_opt [received fibre-coupled optical power in W. Losses due to beam splitters have been corrected so that this measurement corresponds to the one below but with additional coupling loss.] - hdf.qpd.qpd_opt [received free-space optical power in W.
