Comparative genomics of extensively drug-resistant Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-baumannii (ACB) complex isolates from Dhaka, Bangladesh

Acinetobacter baumannii and other members of Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-Acinetobacter baumannii (ACB) complex attract global public health attention due to their prevalence in nosocomial infections and their extensive drug resistance capabilities. In this pilot study, WGS of 15 Bangladeshi ACB complex strains were carried out to identify their genotypic virulence, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and mobile genetic elements (MGE) carrying properties.
