Microbiomes from saline streams in the Powder basin of Wyoming

In this study, we characterized water and biofilm microbiomes, and macroinvertebrate associated gut microbiomes from four saline streams in the Powder basin in Wyoming in the summer of 2019. We characterized these microbiomes in this natural saline aquatic ecosystems, in order to provide snapshot of what we can expect to happen in freshwater water ecosystems in response to increasing salinization.
