Sequencing of conserved gene regions internal transcribed spacer,actin,calmodulin,chitin synthase,glyceraldehyde3phosphate dehydrogenase,glutamine synthetase and tubulin beta of Colletotrichum fructicola

Circular leaf spot disease of Hevea brasiliensis characterized by the presence of brown spots on the mature leaves affecting rubber plantations in India. The present study identified a fungal isolate of the Colletotrichum species obtained from 30 infected leaf samples. Based on multilocus phylogenetic analysis the isolate was identified and characterized as Colletotrichum fructicola.
