Memory & Cognition, Experiment 3 Stimuli Files

These data consist of 40 sets of sentence items that have been manipulated to be either ambiguous (e.g., "She put the money in the basket on the table.") or unambiguous (e.g., "She put the money for the basket on the table.") and (via cross splicing) to either contain a boundary or not. Half of the items had the manipulated boundary location after the noun in the verb phrase (e.g., "money" in the above example) and half after the first prepositional phrase (e.g., "basket" in the above example). Thus, there were four items in each set. In the file names, amb = ambiguous; un = unambiguous; _b = boundary; _nb = no boundary.
