欧洲中尺度天气预测中心（European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts，ECMWF）是34个国家支持的政府间独立组织。其前身是欧洲科技合作计划［COST (European Co-operation in Science and Technology) project］，成立于1975年。其目标是发展中尺度天气预测的数值方法，为成员国提供预测服务，为提高预测水平而进行科学技术研究及积累气象数据等。ECMWF资料同化和预测系统都是基于其发展的地球系统模式而完成的。ERA-Interim为ECMWF研制的全球大气再分析产品（1979开始）。

The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) is an independent intergovernmental organization supported by 34 member states. Its predecessor was the European Co-operation in Science and Technology (COST) project, and the organization was founded in 1975. Its core objectives include developing numerical methodologies for medium-range weather forecasting, providing forecasting services to member states, conducting scientific and technological research to enhance forecasting capabilities, and accumulating meteorological data. All data assimilation and forecasting systems of ECMWF are built upon the Earth system models it has independently developed. ERA-Interim is a global atmospheric reanalysis product developed by ECMWF, which was launched in 1979.
