Bangladesh Retail Coarse Rice Price Data (WFP), 2004-2026: Analytic Sample for Structural Break and Vulnerability Assessment

This dataset is the analytic sample used in "Detecting Rice Price Shocks and Structural Breaks in Bangladesh: A Machine Learning Approach to Spatial Vulnerability Assessment." It comprises retail coarse rice price observations across 72 markets and 8 administrative divisions of Bangladesh, filtered from the World Food Programme (WFP) retail price monitoring dataset (commodity = Rice, coarse; price type = Retail; period = January 2004 to April 2026). The data were retrieved from the WFP on 11 May 2026. As the source dataset is periodically updated and historical records may be revised, this deposit preserves the exact version used in the associated analysis to support reproducibility. Fields include date, administrative division (admin1), market, price (BDT), and USD-converted price (usdprice).
