Dataset for Galact Study

This manuscript reports a prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of Galact® Lactation Granules, a Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus)–based formulation, in improving breast milk production among postpartum women. A total of 110 healthy postpartum women were randomized to receive either Galact® granules or placebo for 16 weeks. The study assessed outcomes including breast milk volume, time to breast fullness, serum prolactin levels, infant weight, and maternal perceptions of milk sufficiency. Results showed significantly higher milk volume, earlier breast fullness, and increased prolactin levels in the Galact® group compared with placebo. The formulation was well tolerated with no reported adverse events. These findings suggest that Galact® Lactation Granules may be a safe and effective herbal galactagogue to support lactation in postpartum women.
