FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT STAGES OF FINE-FIBER COTTON GROWING IN THE KARSHI DESERT

This article analyzes, on a scientific basis, the process of formation and the stages of development of fine-fiber cotton cultivation in the Karshi desert region. The study highlights the natural and climatic conditions of the area, the establishment of irrigation systems, land development processes, as well as the importance of selection and agrotechnical measures. It also examines the policy of cotton development during the Soviet period, the reforms implemented during the years of independence, and their effectiveness. Furthermore, the economic and social significance of fine-fiber cotton production in the Karshi desert and its modern development trends are revealed.
