Total RNA used for microarray analyses was subjected to real-time PCR quantification. The standardised expression ratio (SER) indicates the expression normalised to 18S rRNA and standardised to control condition (scrambled siRNA or vehicle). A SER of 100% indicates no expression difference versus control. P-values were based on a two-tailed, unpaired t-test.
