DIEV-T was designed to measure electoral violence in Turkey in both local and national elections that have taken place since 1950. The DIEV-T is constructed on the basis of content analysis of news reports for each election. All documented incidents of electoral violence during the month from 30 days before to 30 days after each election is identified.
