Bacterial endophytic microbiome is essential as it promotes plant growth and has beneficial effects in many cases characterized by metabolic interactions. Recent advances have been made in regard to metabolite production by plant microsymbionts showing that they may produce a range ofdifferent types of metabolites. These substances play a role in defense and competition, but may also be needed for specific interaction and communication with the plant host. The complete sequencing of this endophyte will not only enrich the genome sequence database of Methylobacterium radiotolerans but also further our understanding of the genetic, phylogenetic and physiological properties of this strain.This current study aims at understanding the metabolic interactions between plants and endophytes.
