Dataset for: A Mixed Methods Study on the Content, Quality, and Parental Views of Early Childhood Magazines in Türkiye

This dataset supports the mixed-methods research article examining the formal, pedagogical, and content characteristics of children's magazines in Türkiye alongside parent experiences. It contains four main parts: (1) Quantitative content analysis evaluations of 83 children's magazines across 12 specific quality criteria, (2) Inter-rater reliability and control dataset based on 40 independently coded magazines (Second Coder), (3) Expert panel evaluation data (N=8), including Lawshe Content Validity Ratios (CVR) and Item-Level Content Validity Indices (I-CVI) across relevance, clarity, and representativeness dimensions, and (4) Qualitative open-ended questionnaire responses from 43 parents regarding their selection, co-reading practices, and experiences with these magazines.
