To prepare material to explain how archaeology fits into the planning process and how issues raised can be best resolved. Series of 18 town reports each with a summary of the development of the town, an assessment of the archaeological potential and how development could impact on archaeological resources, and examination of national and local planning process to provide a framework within which development will normally proceed.
