Data for "Impact of black carbon on daytime valley and slope winds in idealised simulations"

Model output from idealised WRF-Chem simulations. Model source code and analysis scripts on Python are provided in Zenodo (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.17852772)

The dataset contains
wrfinput_d01 - the initial state for the spin-up run (Supp Fig S2)
wrfrst_d01_2024-03-22-06:00:00 - initial state of the actual simulations, after the 24-hr spin-up run (Fig 2a,e, Supp Fig S3, S4)

Separately for both simulation cases
{case}_avgs.nc - selection of necessary variables from the hourly averaged output (Fig 2-4)
{case}_mome_tend.nc - hourly averaged variables required for the along-valley momentum budget analysis (Fig 5)
{case}_heat_tend.nc - hourly averaged variables required for the heat budget analysis (Fig 6)
{case}_inst.nc - selection of 2D surface variables from the 10-min instantaneous output (Supp Fig S1)
