Here, we report metagenomic sequencing (2x250 bp paired-end reads) of gut microbial profiles from healthy community-dwelling elderly participants from the Brain, Adipocyte, Microbiome, Muscle, Bone, Exercise (BAMMBE) observational cohort, which was designed to understand the role of lifestyle factors on the gut microbiome, health status and cognitive functioning.
