eDNA Metabarcoding Assessment of Vertebrate Biodiversity in The Coastal Areas of The Pechora and Kara Seas Using COI and 12S rRNA Gene Markers

In this project, we explored the potential of eDNA as a tool for ecological monitoring of vertebrate communities in The Coastal Areas of The Pechora and Kara Seas. Water samples (2 liters each) were collected from a depth of 0.5 meters. Filtration was performed through memebrane MCE-filters with a pore size of 0.45 micrometers. Sequencing was performed using MinIon (Oxford Nanopore Technologies).
