Membranous nephropathy (MN) is a leading cause of chronic kidney disease, representing an autoantibody-mediated glomerular disorder. The DNA-sensing cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS)-stimulator of interferon genes (STING) pathway plays a pivotal role in autoimmunity and inflammatory responses. However, its potential involvement in the pathogenesis of MN and the underlying mechanisms remain elusive.
