Isolated hybrid wood-ant population Formica aquilonia x F. lugubris in subarctic Finland (VCF file)

This dataset contains a VCF file (Variant Call Format file; whole-genome sequencing data) for one Formica sp. wood ant individual later determined morphologically as a hybrid between Formica aquilonia and F. lugubris, from Mt. Saana, Northern Finland. DNA extraction, library construction, whole-genome sequencing (Illumina NovaSeq S4: 2 × 150 bp), and genomic data preparation including SNP calling and VCF filtering were done alongside the samples published and according to the pipeline described in Satokangas & al. (2023) (DOI: 10.1111/mec.16992). The genomic data preparation, including SNP calling and filtering, was done alongside the samples published and according to the pipeline described in Satokangas & al. (2023). Hence, this VCF file can be used for analyses by merging it with the nuclear genomic VCF file "all_samples.DP8.hwe.AN10.mac2.noScaff0003.thin20kb.vcf.gz" at https://doi.org/10.5061/dryad.4f4qrfjhf.
