A total of 26 lithic artifacts from sites 32ML805, 32ML807, 32ML812, and 32ML820 were
analyzed for possible protein residues. These sites consist of stone rings and a sparse lithic
scatter within the Falkirk Mine of central North Dakota. Soil control samples were submitted
with seven of the artifacts. Protein residue analysis is used to provide information concerning
possible animal resources hunted/processed with these artifacts.
