Brettanomyces (Dekkera) species WGS Sequencing and assembly

Genome comparison of the five strains of Brettanomyces (Dekkera): B. bruxellensis, B. anomalus, B. custersianus, B. naardenensis, and B. nanus. Sequencing performed with current-gen Oxford Nanopore long read sequencing. The currently-available genome assemblies are mostly lacking in completeness, contiguity, annotations, or in the case of B. nanus, not available at all. We aimed to fill this knowledge-gap by producing high quality reference assemblies. We selected haploid strains for B. bruxellensis (AWRI2804), B. custersianus (AWRI950), B. naardenensis (AWRI951), and B. nanus (AWRI2847). We used a diploid-heterozygous strain for B. anomalus (AWRI953).
