Pectins are primary structural constituent of plant cell walls. In a previous study, we isolated one fungal species, Talaromyces verruculosus, having the highest pectinase activity of 142.43U/ml through large-scale screening and its genome was sequenced, here Illumina sequencing was used to explore the transcription profile change for Talaromyces verruculosus TS63-9 with pectin treatment.
