This open-access dataset contains 12 months (35,040 intervals at 15-minute temporal resolution) of empirical operational telemetry and physics-based simulation benchmarking for an institutional 35 kW rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) installation located at DES Pune University, Pune, India (18.5319° N, 73.8498° E). The dataset supports research in renewable energy forecasting, smart building energy management, and Edge-AI microgrid deployment. It incorporates localized climate dynamics including seasonal monsoon cloud intermittency, high summer ambient temperatures, and thermal inertia derating. Dataset Structure and Variables:1. timestamp: Date and time in YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS format (15-minute intervals).2. ghi_W_m2: Global Horizontal Irradiance in W/m² (Secondary Standard Pyranometer).3. dni_W_m2: Direct Normal Irradiance in W/m².4. dhi_W_m2: Diffuse Horizontal Irradiance in W/m².5. temp_ambient_C: Ambient air temperature in degrees Celsius (°C).6. temp_module_C: Back-surface module RTD sensor temperature in degrees Celsius (°C).7. wind_speed_m_s: Wind speed at array height in meters per second (m/s).8. dc_voltage_V: Array DC operating voltage in Volts (V).9. dc_current_A: Array DC operating current in Amperes (A).10. ac_power_scada_kW: Actual measured AC power output from inverter SCADA telemetry in kW.11. ac_power_pvlib_kW: Multi-scale deterministic physics simulation output using PVlib in kW.12. ac_power_sam_kW: Benchmark yield prediction output using NREL System Advisor Model (SAM) in kW.
