资源简介:
Arabidopsis halleri Subsp. gemmifera, perennial montane plant, has shown population adaptive divergence along altitudinal gradient. In Mt. Ibuki, a mountain located in central of Japan, this plant has two phenotypically differentiated ecotypes, highland and lowland ecotypes. Although these two ecotypes seemed to be mixed at the intermediate altitudes, the genetic structure of individuals in the intermediate altitudes had not been surveyed. The goal of this project is to address a question how selective pressures on genetic variants change along altitudinal gradient. In this project, we also aim to identify genes related with altitudinal adaptation of this plant. For that purpose, we sampled individuals with very high spatial resolution (every 20m on average from 359 to 1317 m above sea level) and obtained their whole genome data. Our data would facilitate our understanding of local adaptation processes on the altitudinal gradient.
