Modern plant wax distributions and hydrogen isotope compositions from the Falkland Islands

This dataset contains compound-specific hydrogen isotope data (δ2H values) for n-alkanoic acids and n-alkanes extracted from modern plant samples collected across the Falkland Islands. The data were generated to quantify plant wax D/H fractionation and to assess the consistency of fractionation between compound classes. The dataset includes sample metadata (species, location, and collection context), δ2H values of individual n-alkanoic acids and n-alkanes, and associated environmental water isotope values used to calculate ε wax/water.
