Experimental and Numerical Dataset on the Bauschinger Effect in Polycrystalline Austenitic Steel 316L

Overview:This repository contains the experimental and numerical dataset (EBSD, cyclic stress-strain data and FE models) supporting the research study: "Quantitative assessment of the Bauschinger effect in cyclically loaded polycrystals using single crystal plasticity modeling with local and non-local kinematic hardening" (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.mechmat.2026.105821). The data provided herein serves as the benchmark foundation for the named research publication. The dataset is organized into three principal categories:1. EBSD Data: Microstructural orientation maps, grain size distributions, and local misorientation analyses.2. Cyclic data: strain-controlled stress-strain hysteresis loops.3. FE Models: Finite Element microstructural models, finite element meshes and material parameter files (Abaqus input files).
