Long-term sexual selection drives sexual dimorphism in some insect antennae, while we know little about the molecular basis of their functional differentiation. Antheraea yamamai (Lepidoptera, Saturniidae) shows obvious sexual dimorphism of the antennae. In this study, the antennal transcriptomes of A. yamamai were sequenced and de novo assembled.
