Bischof et al. 2025 - Southern Hemisphere Sudden Stratospheric Warmings Continue to Be Relevant Under Global Warming
收藏资源简介:
Data to reproduce the figures in Bischof et al. 2025: "Southern Hemisphere Sudden Stratospheric Warmings Continue to Be Relevant Under Global Warming" submitted to ACP in August 2025. Modelling experiments are based on the FOCI model (Matthes et al. 2020) in an AMIP-like setup to carry out a historical ensemble and time slice experiments using 2018, +1.5K, +2K, +3K and +4K global warming background conditions in the atmosphere and on land (both following the SSP5-8.5 scenario) as well as in the ocean (daily forcing data based on ERA5 plus modelled SST trends for the global wamring time slices). More information on the experimental design can be found in publication connected to this dataset (see above). Ozone data for the global warming time slices is based on CMIP forcing (SSP5-8.5) and included here only for the sake of completeness. The Experiments are summarized in the table below: Experiment Model Simulation Start year End year total #years Historical SH007 1980 2019 200 RP004 1980 2019 RP005 1980 2019 RP007 1980 2019 RP008 1980 2019 2018 SH009 2060 2159 302 SH013 2018 2118 SH017 2018 2118 1.5 K global warming SH011 2018 2119 203 SH014 2018 2118 2 K global warming RP003 2018 2119 204 RP010 2018 2119 3 K global warming SH012 2018 2119 203 SH015 2018 2118 4 K global warming SH010 2060 2159 201 SH016 2018 2118 References: Matthes, K., Biastoch, A., Wahl, S., Harlaß, J., Martin, T., Brücher, T., Drews, A., Ehlert, D., Getzlaff, K., Krüger, F., Rath, W., Scheinert, M., Schwarzkopf, F.U., Bayr, T., Schmidt, H., Park, W., 2020.
