Our work concerns the biological treatment of leachates from the controlled landfill of the city of Fez, using a sequential batch reactor (SBR). Once our biological treatment process had shown a high purification capacity in the treatment of leachates, we carried out a metagenomic study to determine the composition of the microbiome in the activated sludge.
