This study developed the Cultural Self-Awareness Scale (CSAS) based on graphic design to address the lack of cultural awareness assessment tools in art and design field, providing a reference for the cultivation and evaluation of cultural awareness in the field. This instrument consists of two parts, the first part is cultural understanding and learning characteristics with single-choice questions. The first part involves Part A: Basic Status (A01-A07) and Part B: Learning Status (B08-B14). The second part is the Cultural Self-Awareness Scale (CSAS), a 5-point Likert scale according to the level of agreement (1 = strongly disagree; 5 = strongly agree). The scale (C15-C41) is constructed based on Fei Xiaotong's theory of Cultural Self-Awareness (CSA) and involves five dimensions: Cultural Cognition, Cultural Identity, Cultural Reflection, Cultural Comparison, and Cultural Innovation. The file is the original data for the above two parts of the survey instrument.
