Her Honour discusses the history of the Supreme Court of Victoria and describes how law and order was initially maintained and administered in the state of Victoria. Her Honour discusses the implementation of The Judicature Act 1983 (Vic), The Supreme Court Act 1890 (Vic) and public service legislation in 1883. In relation to judicial administration, Her Honour discusses the establishment of the Civil Justice Committee Report (1984), the Judicial Council Steering Committee (1991) and reforms implemented under the Court Services Victoria Act 2014 (Vic).
