Diversity and clinical relevance of culturable yeasts carried by birds under veterinary care

Primary dataset and derived tables for a survey of culturable yeasts and yeast-like fungi in birds presented as patients at veterinary clinics in Belarus and Russia (January–April 2026). Isolates were recovered on Sabouraud dextrose agar with chloramphenicol at 32 °C and identified by MALDI-TOF MS: 439 isolates of 56 species from 402 birds across 27 localities. Filesvet_birds_dataset_clean.xlsx — primary data, one row per isolate; columns sample_ID, city/region, genera_bird, isolated_from, species_fungi. Hosts are identified to genus.
